Jamie Maddison
Jamie Maddison is a writer, photographer and all round adventurer.Jamie has written for the likes of the Royal Geographical Society’s ‘Geographical’ magazine and the esteemed international travel publication ‘Hidden Europe’ and his photography was recently shortlisted as a Finalist in the Travel Photographer of the Year Awards.
Jamie cut his teeth in the world of journalism working for the British rock-climbing magazine Climber. His first far-flung assignment lead him to the Tien Shan Mountains in the Central Asian republic of Kyrgyzstan, covering a mountaineering expedition to the unexplored Djangart valley. Jamie has just returned from an adventurous 15,000km expedition - involving 2000km of unsupported horse-riding across the Eurasian steppe, following in the footsteps of the explorer, Sir Charles Howard Bury.
