Charles Scott
National Geographic-featured adventurer Charles Scott has traveled the world doing endurance challenges with his two children linked to charitable causes. He is the author of Rising Son: A Father and Son’s Bike Adventure Across Japan and has spoken at the World Bank, Harvard, the United Nations, and many other venues.
Charles' trips have been featured in press around the world, including The New York Times, Outside Magazine and TV Japan. Founder of The Family Adventure Guy blog, he encourages adults and children to add more adventure to their lives. The United Nations named him a “Climate Hero” for his work on environmental causes, and Red Tricycle named him “One of NYC’s Coolest Dads.” Prior to becoming a writer and family adventurer, Charles worked at Intel Corporation for fourteen years in a variety of management positions and as a director in the corporation’s venture capital group.
