Rod is well known as a technical diver and diving author with 7 books to his name to date. After visiting the scuttled German WWI High Seas Fleet wrecks at Scapa Flow and falling in love with Orkney, he wrote his first book, 'Dive Scapa Flow', published in 1990, now in its 4th edition. 'Dive Scotland's Greatest Wrecks', 'Dive England's Greatest Wrecks' were followed by 'Into the Abyss: Diving to adventure in the Liquid World' and his latest book, Force Z shipwrecks of the South China Sea was launched in March 2013 at the OZTeK Australian Technical Diving Conference in Sydney. The first print run sold out within 4 months.
