Alastair Humphreys is a British Adventurer, Author and Blogger. He spent over 4 years cycling round the world, a journey of 46,000 miles through 60 countries and 5 continents. More recently Alastair has walked across the Rub’ al Khali, rowed across the Atlantic Ocean, run 6 marathons through the Sahara desert, completed a crossing of Iceland and participated in an expedition in the Arctic, close to the magnetic North Pole.

Andy was once an IT administrator working in London's Rat Race who was bitten by the adventure bug after travelling though South East Asia, Australia, Peru and running his first ultra-marathon in 2009. Despite the pain of that first bite he decided that before ‘settling down’ he'd like to contribute something to the world by raising money for War Child UK and to lead an amazing life as, you may not be aware of this, working in IT is not all that exciting…

Ants is a record-breaking adventurer, travel writer and tv producer, with a penchant for very long journeys in rather unsuitable vehicles. Most recently she ventured on a 2-month motorcycle ride down what remains of the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. A book about this "Short Ride in the Jungle" has just been published.

Arita Baaijens is a Dutch explorer, biologist, author, photographer. She is a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, the Explorers Club, Long Riders Guild and WINGS Worldquest. She won the Women of Discovery Humanity Award 2014 and has published several books and wrote numerous articles about her journeys. The book Desert Songs won an award in 2008.

Bill Steele recently retired as a national-level director for the Boy Scouts of America, based at their national HQ in Texas where he was in charge of Alumni Relations and the National Eagle Scout Association. He is now a writer, speaker and near full time explorer. Bill is a Speleologist of international standing having led or participated in expeditions to many of the longest and deepest caves in many states of the USA, Mexico, and China.

Bruce Poon Tip is the founder of G Adventures and is a global leader in sustainability and social entrepreneurship. He has spoken multiple times at the request of the United Nations and World Bank, presented at the headquarters of Apple and Google, and delivered keynote speeches at TED events and leading entrepreneurship conferences around the world.

Charles Foster is an inspiring explorer and acclaimed writer. Much of his life is spent on expeditions, particularly to desert and savannah regions. Felicity Aston is the first and only woman in the world to ski across Antarctica alone. The 1744km, 59-day journey completed in January 2012 also made her the first person in the world to do so purely by muscle power without the aid of kites or machines.

Jamie Bunchuk, is an English explorer, equestrian Long Rider and an editor of Sidetracked Magazine. He is best known for his exploration of the Central Asia region. Bunchuk is an established adventure journalist. He is now an editor of Sidetracked Magazine and presenter for Sidetracked TV.

Jasper Winn is a writer, photographer and broadcaster with a particular interest in rural and tribal cultures,'horse-powered' peoples worldwide and slow adventures. He has cycled - usually on cheap, local bicycles - across the Sahara, through Central India, around the 1,000 mile Icelandic coast road and across West Africa. He has travelled long distance on foot following pilgrimage routes in Europe, North Africa and South America. He once roller-skated the 200 mile length of the Netherlands from south to north, and he completed a self-supported tri-athlon length of Ireland, leaving Malin Head by cycle, kayaking down the Shannon and racing the final third of the distance to Malin Head on foot. Jasper has specialised in human- and animal- powered journeys, which he defines as ‘slow adventures.’

Jeff Blumenfeld, adventure marketing specialist, understands that modern-day exploration ultimately involves making it relevant to mass audiences. Based in Bolder, Colorado, he is president of the adventure marketing agency Blumenfeld and Assoc., and is editor and publisher of Expedition News which he founded in 1994 to cover news about exploration.

Jimmy McSparron has spent most of his adult life in remote corners of the world. He has lived with many indigenous groups, getting tattoos deep in the jungle with sticks, meeting head hunters and cannibals: documenting languages and cultures along the way. John Amatt climbed to fame for the first ever ascent of Europe’s highest and steepest mountain face – the 5,000 foot “Vertical Mile” Troll Wall in Norway. He was a leader and principal organizer of Canada’s first successful climb to the summit of Mount Everest, an ascent in which four climbers died in two tragic accidents before six of the team were able to reach the top of the world.

Kate is a former world number three real tennis player turned adventurer cyclist who uses her experiences to inspire her audiences. Kate’s story is about creating projects from her passions, staying focused and following each challenge from a dream through to its completion. Leon McCarron is a Northern Irish adventurer, filmmaker, writer and motivational speaker. He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and specializes in long distance, human-powered expeditions. 
In Winter 2011-2012 Leon walked 3000 miles across China, filming for a National Geographic TV show along the way. The journey took him six months; walking a marathon a day for six days a week and carrying a 30kg pack. Two days afer returning home, Leon was honoured to carry the Olympic Flame along a section of the Northern Irish coast as part of the London 2012 relay.

Lia Ditton is a British artist and professional sailor who translates her extraordinary experiences at sea into contemporary art installations and informative lectures. She’s been dubbed by the press as Britain’s only Artist- Sailor. Lia has competed at a high level in the world’s most challenging ocean races. Canadian, Richard Weber was born in the right country, he loves the cold! Richard has more than 25 years experience with record-breaking Arctic and Antarctic expeditions. Richard has co-authored two books about his adventures. He has been awarded medals for his polar achievements from the Canadian, Russian and Soviet governments. Richard is a member of the Canadian ski hall of fame and Guinness Book of Records.

Rod is well known as a technical diver and diving author with 7 books to his name to date. After visiting the scuttled German WWI High Seas Fleet wrecks at Scapa Flow and falling in love with Orkney, he wrote his first book, 'Dive Scapa Flow', published in 1990, now in its 4th edition. 'Dive Scotland's Greatest Wrecks', 'Dive England's Greatest Wrecks' were followed by 'Into the Abyss: Diving to adventure in the Liquid World' and his latest book, Force Z shipwrecks of the South China Sea was launched in March 2013 at the OZTeK Australian Technical Diving Conference in Sydney. The first print run sold out within 4 months.

2010 National Geographic Adventurer of the Year. Roz is an ocean rower, an accomplished international speaker, author and passionate campaigner. She holds four world records for Ocean rowing, including first woman to row three oceans. She has rowed over 15,000 miles and spent cumulatively over 500 days of her life at sea in a 23 foot row boat. She uses her ocean rowing adventures to inspire and motivate audiences.

Ryan Waters is a professional mountaineer, guide and polar adventurer. He is the first American to complete the Adventurers Grand Slam by climbing the highest mountain on each continent - the Seven Summits - plus skiing unsupported full ski expeditions to the North and South Poles. Ryan is the also the First American to ski unsupported to both the North and South Poles and via unconventionally difficult means.

From Afghanistan to South Sudan, Sophie is an explorer who likes her adventures with just a hint of danger. An orientalist by training, and an entrepreneur and writer by profession, Sophie broke the world altitude record for auto rickshaws in 2008 when she drove over the 15,397' Khunjerab Pass between Pakistan and China.
