Based in Stamford, Conn., he is president of the adventure marketing agency Blumenfeld and Assoc., and is editor and publisher of Expedition News which he founded in 1994 to cover news about exploration.
Lorie Karnath
Lorie Karnath is an avid explorer, adventurer, author who has canvased the globe in search of answers to elusive questions. Most recently she served for three terms as the 37th president of The Explorers Club only the second woman in the club’s 108 year history to be elected. Karnath has led many expeditions to far-flung regions of the world. Matt Traver is a British-American climber and adventurer, originally from Hong Kong. He has organised and lead expeditions to remote and little-explored areas including the Dragon's Horns West Face in Tioman Island, Malaysia where he climbed a 1300ft new route on the imposing jungle spire. Ultimately he is most inspired by seeking out the little-known, under-explored and forgotten corners of the world.
