Gernot Groemer
Dr. Gernot Groemer is a space reseacher at the Austrian Space Forum with a PhD in Exploration Astrobiology. An Expedition leader for various Mars Analogue Research Missions which involved 100+ team members from 23 nations. As an educator, Gernot has delivered lectures on planetology and exploration astrobiology. With a passion for cutting-edge space research and skill at story-telling, Gernot gives presentations which are inspiring, educational and entertaining.
Gernot has led ten field expeditions ranging from the Rio Tinto deserts to the Northern Sahara, logging more than 90 hours in Extra-Vehicular Activities with spacesuit simulators since 2003, and 30 min of zero-gravity in parabolic flights.
